My name is Vignesh Gnanasekaran, and I’m currently an MEng student studying mechanical engineering at Cornell University. I am passionate about mechanical design and product development, human-centered design, manufacturing, and materials science, especially in the fields of consumer electronic devices and 3D printing.

On campus, I am involved with the Cornell Baja Racing team as a member of the Ergonomics subteam, the Moridi Research Group in the MAE department as a researcher assisting design of a selective laser melting (SLM) 3D printer, and running the Cornell Rapid Prototyping Lab. Aside from technical responsibilities, I was the outgoing Executive Chairperson of Cornell University Program Board (CUPB), a byline-funded organization that brings speakers, comedians, and lecturers to campus.

Most recently, I interned at SharkNinja in Needham, MA on the Consumer Product Development Team for Shark R&D, taking new Shark products from the prototype stage to production at scale.

In past summers I have interned at Markforged (a leading manufacturer of metal and composite 3D printers) in Watertown, MA as part of the Materials team and at Invacare Corporation (a manufacturer of medical devices) in Elyria, OH as a part of the Concept Engineering team.

I am currently looking for full-time Mechanical Engineering / Product Development / Product Design roles starting June 2021, so if you would like to discuss an opening please reach out!
